![]() I've now permanently moved my blog over to http://chocolateandvodka.com/ and will no long be updating this version, other than with the occasional summary of new posts. Please do not leave comments here, but instead find the equivalent post on my new site, and comment there instead. Comments left here will not be published, as I'd like to keep things all together on the new installation. Sorry if this is an inconvenience. |

Wifi rabbits? As in... a rabbit with a wireless connection to the internet? Now, I can see how the ears would work as antennas and I can see where the USB cable to connect it to your laptop would go, but surely the signal is at risk from myxamatomis?
For some reason I'm thinking that the communication problem isn't that you're lacking an L.A.Story highway sign across from your flat or LCD implants in the back of your hand, but rather that you've already got email, IRC, the web, text messages, blog comments, snail-mail, phone and possibly even face-to-face human conversation tying up the information-processing synapses of your brain.
Have you not seen the film Scanners? Admittedly it's only in the Director's Cut that you see those people head's explode because their email inbox had just topped one terabyte, their mobile phones had doubled in weight because of the number of unread text messages, they had 50 billion unread blog posts to catch up on and when, on top of all that, they catch someone looking at them funny, trying to process that one extra thought causes their brain to go the way of Divine Brown and blow.
Actually, it's suddenly struck exactly what this is. It's the socially-induced, human form of a Denial of Service attack. It's Smallpox for the 21st Century. It's a plague that's a-coming, I tell you, a plague!
