Last week I was in the U.K., after having flown over to Gatwick, and had to go to Wivenhoe.
The return train ticket to Wivenhoe, near Colchester, including travel from Gatwick, cost over double what I paid to fly from Cologne.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the original reason that all the train companies were Nationalised was due to the asset-stripping short-term profiteering of the Companies at the expense of the National Transport Infrastructure?
