It came to me in the shower

I wish I had a waterproof computer and wifi in the bathroom. I seem to get lots of ideas whilst in the bath or shower which often cut short said ablutions so that I can go and write stuff down before I forget it. Maybe I need some sort of voice-activated dictation machine. Or an amanuensis.

Admit it, what you really want is a blogging/IRC implant, despite everyone knowing the dangers of becoming too involved in the digital world - see Tron for details (of course, in a few years time it won't be the MCP - Master Control Program - trying to take over the world, it'll be the SUW - Super... Unifying... err... Whatchamahoosie).

Paper notebook

I keep a paper notebook and a pencil in my bathroom to be able to scribble down ideas I get under the shower. A researcher from Israel once told me about a technology research centre (I think in Sweden) where they had a sort of whiteboard in the shower to which you could write with waterproof markers (I think it could be erased by scrubbing). That would be something for me too.

Whiteboard is an idea. Paper would get all soggy though. Paper mache is hard to write on. ;-)

Of course, you could go low-tech and hire a stenographer to sit in the shower with you. I'm sure the awkwardness would reside a few days after doing it. :)
