UPDATE: Some people have too much time on their hands. Google, a copy of Photoshop, boredom. They're a lethal combination. Ik ben de baas, for sure.

![]() I've now permanently moved my blog over to http://chocolateandvodka.com/ and will no long be updating this version, other than with the occasional summary of new posts. Please do not leave comments here, but instead find the equivalent post on my new site, and comment there instead. Comments left here will not be published, as I'd like to keep things all together on the new installation. Sorry if this is an inconvenience. |

Never admit to anyone, least of all Joi Ito, that you had a dream that you were a glamour model. Otherwise things like this might happen to you.

I have
So, ya want one? I could flog 'em on eBay I guess, or swap 'em on Gmail Swap but that's too much like hard work. Instead, I shall say that if you want one, just email me at suw.charman@gmail.com and, as this is a gift economy, give me something in return. Doesn't have to be off my Amazon wishlist, although I won't say no if it is, it could just be a very cool link. Or something. You decide. *Note: Coolness can go up as well as down. Your coolness may be at risk if you pick a silly username. Don't blame me if Gmail does something weird and/or stupid with your email further down the line. UPDATE: All gone. Although not as quickly as I'd have thought. Obviously the bottom's fallen out of the Gmail invite market.

Cast your mind back to the late 70s/early 80s, to cult sci-fi TV show Blake's 7. Remember ORAC, the rather condescending talking computer? Well, ORAC lives!
The goal [was] to create a clear-cased computer where everything on the inside looked as good as the outside, and from all angles; Where cabling was a feature, not something to hide away - G-gnome's 'big electronic brain' if you will. I wanted to take the concept of a clear case a step further. It meant modding pretty much every nut, bolt, screw, cover, cable and component in the entire system, 'attention to detail' becoming my mantra. Along the way a use was found for unusual items such as shower-hose and aquarium tubing...I mean, just how sexy is this:
*sigh* Can I have one please? |
